Noah Dillon had a big 2019. Toured around Australia on 3 occasions, released their first EP, came in #27 on Triple J Unearthed most played charts, ventured international for the Music Matters conference in Singapore, and shared the stage with acts like Stella Donnelly, Holy Holy, Tyne James Organ, and City Calm Down.

The 4 piece band is staying busy in early 2020. heading south for Fairbridge Festival and the Nannup Music Festival, playing main support for Paul Dempsey and Frankie Cosmos (NY), and getting creative with their upcoming music video for this single.

‘Mathew McConaughey’ is about changing oneself to better fit a relationship. All hidden within the ‘tongue in cheek’ analogy of me aspiring to be Mathew McConaughey (the famous Texan actor), the song delves into the idea that we often try to bend or change ourselves in order to fit an idealized and unrealistic idea of a partner.

Claudia Genovese (Bass), Jack Hill (Drums), Sam Rocchi (Guitar) and I (Noah Dillon (Vocals,Guitar,Keys)) locked ourselves in at Debaser Studio alongside producer Andy Lawson with the vision to make a song that was unique in its design, accessible in its feel and emotionally cathartic at its core. I've often felt the pressure to hold a masculine figure and presence in a relationship. This song looks to challenge preconceived ideas of masculinity, suggesting true strength within relationships comes from being honest with your emotions and expression.
